lyrics

In wasted valleys we start winding down again.
Though we brought it among us, we're starved within for a different life. I just can't be here all the time, no it won't engulf us.
A life outside these walls, a weight that's sinking in. Escape this cell I'm in. We start to rot, to dwell, to hate our-fucking-selves. A rope that's wearing thin.
So we start to run, try to chase the sun, sever ties beyond repair. But we burned it down, our bridge to solid ground, for a meal plan in a cell, the safer route to hell.
A life outside these walls, a weight that's sinking in. Escape this cell I'm in. We start to rot, to dwell, to hate our-fucking-selves. A rope that's wearing thin.
Trudge in a line.
Wait and regret.
Lose track of time.
Learn to forget.
Bled out my pride. Spent all my fucking life trying to stay gold, but I just failed all that I tried. Dissonance lies on overbearing minds, we know the horrors we hide and the fear that's held up inside. Rid from life. Rid from all love and light.
For the rest of my fucking life I will buy and buy, sell time, and if god doesn't show I'll worship all of the things, and the clocks, and the screens. Amen.
(I'm stuck in a rut, I will find my way out of this hole. We all tried to escape this proclaimed, disgusting filth of modern day life. Amen.)
